Catalonia's special attraction is its scenic contrasts - from the luscious green of the forests and grasslands in the Pyrenees to the Acacias, Chestnuts and Alders in the wetlands. Rosemary, thyme and wild lavender grow on the southern hills and while riding through the wide lowlands you will pass grape vines, olive trees and almond trees. The coastline is dominated by the calm, silver-coloured forests of cork oaks that are replaced by majestic pine trees as you reach to the deep blue Mediterranean Sea.
