¡El clásico de nuestras rutas en Cataluña! La Ruta Mediterránea es una ruta muy variada por verdes colinas y montañas, hasta las playas del Mediterráneo (cabalgamos todos los días entre 4 y 6 horas, en 2 días cerca del mar). Típicos pueblos medievales, alojamiento en acogedoras casas de piedra, casas rurales familiares y pequeños hoteles.

Day 1: Riding Centre Catalonia: experience Spain on horseback!

Arrival in Spain (Barcelona or Girona) and transfer to our first accommodation a picturesque country house in the middle of the Catalan idyll. We enjoy the peace and quiet. What a beautiful place to begin our holiday in Spain!

Day 2: Spain like Costa Rica

We ride through thick oak and pine forests as we leave, heading towards the mountains. In a hidden valley, we cross a small stream. Some sun rays pierce the deep green of a tropical-looking jungle. Bamboo trees border the path, and high up creepers and vines grow around the trees. We are in Spain, but the atmosphere reminds us of Costa Rica.

The river Fluvia winds through a hilly terrain. We ride through the lovely river valleys and discover a nice place for our first picnic. In the afternoon, we trot and canter to our accommodation for the night.

Day 3: Wild Coast - Costa Brava

The Fluvía river winds its way through the countryside to the Mediterranean Sea. We ride through a wild floodplain landscape, cross the river, and arrive at an inviting bathing spot around midday.

After a picnic and a relaxing siesta, we follow the river to where it flows into the sea. The Gulf of Roses stretches out before us, and the sound of the waves accompanies us into the night.

Day 4: Vamos a la playa! Discover the Mediterranean Sea! (*)

With the sunrise, we see a kilometre-long sandy beach. A dream comes true: Riding in Spain, riding by the sea! The water splashes, the sand flies, we canter along the surf. The horses play with the waves and we try to stay dry. The canter along the beach is an unforgettable experience!

The path gently follows through the continental sand dunes and the Mediterranean pine forest up to the rugged mountain massif Montgri. On top of the cliff, we are rewarded with a fantastic view of the endless sea. Seabirds glide over the coast in the wind. In the scent of lavender, rosemary, and thyme we strengthen ourselves with a delicious saddle bag picnic.

Later we descend into the plain of the river Ter. With long canters through the river dykes we reach again the Mediterranean Sea. We can enjoy the sunset at the beach or in the swimming pool of the hotel.

Day 5: Spain, sun, beach, and the sea (*)

Right after breakfast we are back at the beach! In front of us we see the protected islands of "Medes". A canter through the soft sand of the bay brings us into the rice fields of the wide plain, up to the pine trees near the coast. We pass the pearls of the Catalan coast: Pals, Palau-Sator and Peretallada. Old city walls surround the nested rustic stone houses. On the patterned paving stones of the narrow streets, we can still see the grooves and bursts of the horse-drawn carts of the past days. In this medieval atmosphere, Dolores and Luis await us at their comfortable accommodation. In the evening, the friendly hosts await us at their comfortable accommodation.

Day 6: Catalonia

The terrain is flat, the ground soft and sandy. At a fast pace, our well trained horses trot and canter to the river "El Ter". Fruit plantations alternate with grain fields and deep green poplar forests which give us the necessary shade. We take a break on a romantic hill next to a small chapel and look forward to a delicious picnic.

After a siesta, we ride though a softly curved hillside landscape back to our horse farm.

Day 7: Hasta la vista, Catalonia!

Transfer to Barcelona or Girona or extension to another trail.

Important! As a round trail, we mostly ride the Mediterranean Trail clockwise. Under the Mediterranean Trail turn left (counter-clockwise) you will find the detailed trail description. We reserve possible deviations from the program.

Este viaje de ensueño tiene todos los ingredientes de una ruta clásica. Con condiciones estables y tranquilas, esta ruta a través de bosques y praderas y a lo largo de caminos pavimentados a través de pueblos de piedra con espectaculares cruces de ríos. Los galopes a lo largo de una playa de arena y las vistas panorámicas a lo largo de la Costa salvaje son difíciles de superar. ¡Estos son los ingredientes de esta ruta espectacular!

La Ruta Mediterráneo se monta en todos los aires. Por eso se recomienda que los participantes sepan conectar con el caballo. También es ideal para jinetes experimentados que normalmente sólo se entrenan en la pista que están interesados en experimentar paseos. Nuestros caballos bien entrenados proporcionan la seguridad necesaria en el variado terreno. Cada día pasará de 4 a 7 horas de ruta.

Traslados y catering

Aviso

Primer día: a la llegada la cena es aproximadamente a las 21:00 h.
Último día: antes de la salida el desayuno es aproximadamente a las 9:00 h.
Debido a las condiciones locales, puede ser necesario un cambio o modificación de la ruta.
La ruta puede ser montada en ambas direcciones.
El operador se reserva el derecho de sustituir los alojamientos descritos por otros equivalentes si es necesario.

Alojamiento

Habitación individual / Habitación doble / "Media habitación doble"

Las habitaciones individuales no siempre pueden ser garantizadas, aunque se reserven. Si una habitación individual previamente confirmada no está disponible, el participante tiene derecho a un reembolso del precio pagado por el recargo de esas noches.

Los viajeros individuales tienen la opción de reservar una "media habitación doble".

Para reservas de 60 días antes del comienzo de la ruta, habitaciones dobles compartidas sólo pueden ser reservadas, si en ese momento un cliente del mismo género también está esperando un compañero de habitación. Si no es así, reservaremos una habitación individual con el recargo regular anunciado.

Traslados

Aeropuerto de Barcelona

Traslado colectivo a las 17:30 h. El punto de encuentro en el aeropuerto es en la Terminal T1 frente al Café TABERNNUS en el punto de encuentro de grupos Norte, situado en frente de la "Oficina de Turisme" (después de aduanas a la derecha).
Por favor, tenga en cuenta si llega a la Terminal T2, cada cinco minutos un autobús de enlace le llevará a la Terminal T1!
Por favor, reserve su vuelo el día de la salida a partir de las 14:00 h.

Aeropuerto de Girona

Traslado colectivo a las 18:30 h. El punto de encuentro en el aeropuerto está delante del Café LAVAZZA en la sala de llegadas.
Por favor, reserve su vuelo el día de la salida a partir de las 13:00 h.

Si el horario de los traslados no se ajusta a sus horas de llegada y salida, estaremos encantados de organizarle un taxi (unos 80-120,- Euro desde Girona, 240-280,- Euro desde Barcelona, dependiendo de los puntos de inicio y fin de la ruta). Otros destinos de llegada y salida a petición.

Nota: Los horarios de traslado pueden variar dependiendo de los horarios de llegada de los vuelos y de posibles retrasos de otros participantes o del tráfico, etc. ¡Por favor, tenga paciencia en estos casos!

Todos los itinerarios de las rutas son directrices generales. Para ofrecer a nuestros clientes la mejor experiencia de vacaciones a caballo, ocasionalmente es necesario hacer algunos cambios.

Dependiendo del número de rutas concurrentes, la temporada, el clima y los días festivos nacionales, pueden surgir alteraciones en los itinerarios con poca antelación. Esto podría afectar el número de horas de la ruta por día, el itinerario o el uso de alojamientos alternativos. Las rutas también pueden ser montados en ambas direcciones. Todos los cambios son a nuestra discreción, pero cuando se hacen cambios, nos esforzamos por asegurar que nuestros altos estándares de calidad se mantienen y se reflejan en las alternativas que elegimos.

(*) En la Ley de Costas (Ley 22/1988, de 28 de julio) y en su reglamento (Real Decreto 1471/1989, de 1 de diciembre) se especifica que las excursiones que se realicen en lugares de dominio público marítimo no deben tener fines lucrativos. Queremos advertir que no cobramos por montar en ninguna playa y, por tanto, esta parte de cualquiera de nuestras rutas ofrecidas es gratuita.

Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful trip we had! The planning was very easy, with payment links, packing list, and good communication. The food and wine were the best! Full service including glassware, china, flowers, and a buffet were so unexpected and fabulous when we were on the trail! Charming and SO delicious!

Our accommodations were excellent! Beautiful to charming, each had great attributes! I think we all really enjoyed our first stay with Laura and Anna! Everything was so homey and welcoming!

The horses were amazing! They were always everyone’s priority, well cared for and loved. We all swore that Gisela had a magic ball when she picked our horse assignment! We all loved our picks and felt they were perfect matches for us! I felt safe, and our guides knew our horses and their quirks. They gave us riding tips to handle horses that were new to us and our usual style of riding. We actually cried when it came time to leave our horses and our guides who became our friends. The horses’ stamina and hard work amazed us. They knew their jobs so well and seemed happy.

Our guides were absolutely the best!! We only got hints of the huge amount of work they did to coordinate all the details. Our trip was complicated by the flooding, but we barely knew. Alternate plans were already in place. The logistics were mind numbing, but all quietly and efficiently arranged! An impressive feat! We felt like our guides really knew us. They kept us laughing, encouraged us, and kept us on track! Gisela was so enthusiastic, energetic, fun, and charming! Luis was calm, hilarious, and confident. Om was so soulful, loved the horses, and just showed up magically at your side if you needed help. He saw everything.

All in all, I could go on for days, but, just an amazing trip! Would recommend highly! Please share with Rudy what a wonderful trip, wonderful horses, and wonderful staff! This company is a winner! Well done!!!!

Don't miss this! For me it was the first trail of several days and I can only say: I enjoyed every minute. Our two guides not only had the right feeling for which horses would suit which riders, they also masterfully organized the catering, led us through beautiful landscapes and also provided good entertainment and a great atmosphere during the breaks. So it became one of those journeys from which strangers become friends. Dear Panorama Trails team, keep up the good work. I am already looking forward to seeing you again.
